I studied Hospitality Business at Singapore Institute of Technology, specialising in hotel management. Meeting new people and servicing them well has always been my passion but the main reason why I chose this as a career was because I have personally witnessed beneficiaries of life insurance, and victims of poor risk planning (myself when I had no accident or hospital plan when I tore my ACL and Meniscus). My own personal experience caused me to not only have to fork out the entire surgery and post-surgery bills out of my own pocket but also had to stay in a C ward, while needing to wait for months before getting a surgery date. Hence since then, I am very convicted in ensuring no one has to go through what I did.
