After being a consultant for 1 year, I have realised one main thing.
What will get you the furthest is wanting the best possible outcome for your client, and being a selfless person.
Wanting what’s best for the client could take various shapes and forms, one thing for sure is that it takes a lot of empathy and understanding to be able to glean what motivates the client the most, and it’s my job to unpack what I can do for them.
Being a selfless person entails putting people first above all else. I firmly believe that running a business in this honest fashion will return loyalty and breed excellence among team members’ manifold.
Ultimately, these factors are important to raise the standards of consultants across the board. These are the values I choose to embody and I represent them with pride.
